Beat the Heat

Here’s a list of family-friendly things to do in the heat of our scorching Central Valley Summers!

All suggestions below will be either indoors with air conditioning, or outside with water/shade.


Water Play Areas:

City Splash Parks:

Open May thru September
Open 7 days a week, hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Except for Maintenance Day, hours are 1 – 8 p.m.

In September hours change to 12 – 6 p.m.

“These splash parks have reclaimed water and will not be a drain on the City’s water supply.”

  • Figarden Loop Park Water Play Area–4265 W Figarden Dr, On the Figarden loop of Figarden Dr, just west of Brawley.
  • Martin Ray Reilly Park–750 North Chestnut Ave, Fresno
  • Inspiration Park–5770 West Gettysburg Ave, Fresno
  • Mosqueda Community Center – 4670 E. Butler Ave.
  • Vinland Park – 4695 E. Gettysburg Ave.
