In 2003, after
3 years of personal study in the area of pregnancy,
childbirth and infant care, I became passionate
about helping women achieve the birth they
want. Through conversations with many women from
diverse backgrounds I realize that this is best
obtained through childbirth education of
the mother before labor begins and continual support
before, during, and after labor.
I began the process of gaining certification through
DONA (Doulas of North America) on June 27, 2003 and
have remained active in the local childbirth
community through Childbirth Resource Network
and International Cesarean Awareness Network.

Jacque Moschella
Jacque (pronounced Jackie) is a lay midwife and doula.
She has the added advantage of being an experienced
homebirth midwife for more than 30 years, so she is more
experienced than the typical doula because she is also a
midwife. Jacque lives in the foothills and will travel
to all the surrounding areas including Fresno, Clovis,
and even down to Visalia for births.
