Here’s a list of family-friendly things to do in the heat of our scorching Central Valley Summers!

All suggestions below will be either indoors with air conditioning, or outside with water/shade.


 

Water Play Areas:

Please note:
According to PARCS, city “splash parks” water are set to be on from

9am-8pm May 16-mid Oct.
with the exception of Tues, when they operate 12-8pm. (2015) 

“These splash parks have reclaimed water and will not be a drain on the City’s water supply.”

City parks that contain “Splash Parks” (areas with water play):

  • Historic Dickey Park, 50 N. Calaveras St, Fresno (Blackstone & Divisadero)
  • Todd Beamer Park–9797 N. Maple Ave, Fresno  (Maple & Plymouth)
  • Figarden Loop Park Water Play Area–4265 W Figarden Dr, On the Figarden loop of Figarden Dr, just west of Brawley.

  1. Thanks for this list! If anything opens near the area west of 99 anywhere between Clinton and Herndon, that would be great!
